A full load of washing needs more room than most airers give it. The sheets end up over a chair, the towels go back in the basket, and the rest waits for tomorrow.

This one takes the whole load. 42 metres of drying space across 42 rails, on a frame 1.7m tall standing on 86.5cm of floor. The six wings fold out and back on their own, so two shirts open one wing and a full wash opens all six. Two arms swing out from the top and hold 18 hangers, for the shirts and dresses that keep their shape better hanging.

The frame is aluminium. Aluminium does not rust, so this one can stand in the sun on a clear day and come back inside when the weather turns. The rails are steel under a UV-stable polymer coating. Four castors underneath, two of them braked, so it rolls out to the deck and stays where you put it.

Load it, roll it to where the sun is, and fold it down when the washing is dry.

Care Instructions

Wipe with a damp cloth and dry well. Skip abrasive scourers so the coating stays even. Spread the heavier items across the lower rails rather than loading one wing on its own. Fold it down and store it under cover rather than leaving it outside full time.
